So this service, which is a very simple idea and helpful for both Realtors and home buyers is being attacked .

What is really interesting is that there is someone out there that sounds like a disgruntled Amway distributor.

They buy in and then don’t have the where with all to do what it takes to make it work and blame everything but themselves for their own failure.

What I do find interesting is that this guy from”Roger smith Homes has an”F” rating with the BBB and is making claims that are on this website that cannot be erased which show up very well on the search engines. The truth is here in the disclaimer of the site.

What my experience has been with these guys at Amazing Realty Deals is very different.

I had a recent experience trying to find an affordable house. With times like they are and my finances in the state they are as a result I needed some real help.
I got hold of these guys at amazing realty deals through some searching on the web and they found me exactly who I needed to be dealing with. A no nonsense approach and custom search for the property needs I had got me results fast. I think anyone in the business and or looking for property for investment or a home to live in could benefit from the connections you can get with www.amazingrealtydeals.com.
Even though I have friends in the real estate business most of them are not doing so well and don’t have the latest on deals and foreclosures etc. You can really find someone that will help and these guys will help pre-screen the agents for you and make sure it is a perfect fit.
Business should be run this way in my opinion. There is no close second to real customer service and one on one attention you can get from the right professional.
We can all take a lesson from the satisfaction of a job well done.
In retrospect I could have done all this sooner but didn’t get into a search until I had to because I thought the process was too intense and didn’t want to financially flay myself on the table to be scrutinized
A professional starts off understanding this and acts accordingly and doesn’t set their clients up for failure.

I have been working a lot lately on logistics and behind the scenes web development for the distribution model that will make what I am talking about on the seminar video a reality.
I keep running into obstacles which tells me I am definitely doing the right thing. Real distribution for the idependent that puts them in control and reduces the chance of losing all revenues through bad distribution contracts.
As of this writing I am developing a script to shoot as a feature following the mainstream template to a point of names and faces that are recognizable to the general public with the sole intention to distribute online through the network.
I have a budget established around 400K for production and marketing.
This as you can imagine is a difficult number to come up with for an unknown business model but that is exactly what I am doing.
So just to keep you up to date. We need something that is ready to distribute and of course I am a filmmaker. That is what iI want to do., make films.
And so I shall.
I have the player almost ready for distribution but found some issues with censorship from the host company trying to force their agenda through the business and have been trying to work that out.
Otherwise we can’t have any nudity language gore or violence in a feature.
I mean seriously, that is just not reasonable If I was James cameron I couldn’t load Titanic under those restrictions.
So obviously, I am still fighting under the radar and just want you to know that I am still working for all of us.

Hollywood and the economy of the calculated sequel

There seems to be a shortage of original thought in the industry of film and from what I am hearing from the audience members they are getting tired of the bigger explosion and faster paced action selling the show.
What about art? Why isn’t that being really cultivated in the market?
Well it’s a lot like the recent bailout of the stock market. The choices were made clear and what should have been done wasn’t.
I will clarify this. One politician stood up in the forum and said that if the government was going to try to bail out the economy it should give the $700,000,000.00 distributed to the citizens of America instead of to the very people responsible for the debacle in the first place. (that is paraphrased of course or I would have named and quoted)
But he was right. Look at what the money distributed to the people would have done:

For each citizen that would have been about $300,000.00 as a economic boost from the government.
What would the majority of American’s do with the money?
Spend it of course. They would pay off debts and buy new cars, electronics and all the things that they buy now and some would even invest in the stock market.

Honestly who cares what the stock market does if they don’t have money on the line?

But the people we elected to make decisions with that kind of money, our tax dollars, decided to give it to the failures that got everyone scared in the first place.

I personally think that is stupid. They don’t trust their own constituents.
I think it would have made this a much better country to live in over the next five years and before the money is spent they should put it to a vote.
This is supposed to be a representative democracy. The problem I see is the the elect are representing the wrong people.

And so it is with Hollywood. Instead of letting the artist have free reign in the creation of the cinematic piece, the industry is controlled by the non creative financial types and decisions are based for distribution on what a film just like x or y has boxed in the past. The sure thing, or as close as they can get.

Very much like Paul Zane Pilsner talked about in his book, “The Next Trillion”. Predominately about the wellness industry. He talked about the drug companies being a for profit group making decisions for research and development based on not what the world needs, but on the profit generated in the outcome of the research. He gave the example of a comparison of the profit between a one pill cure for cancer and a maintenance drug that the patient (customer) would take for the rest of their life.
The decision is obvious. The greater profit is in the maintenance drug of course.

therein lies the problem with a capitalistic approach to decisions of this nature.

Don’t get me wrong I’m up for profit just like every red blooded American, but where do you draw the line between sanity and profit margins?

Film critics haven’t got the balls

I think that’s what it is really. Go ahead write a review on a film that everyone else is talking about that’s easy. And you will find thousands of others there competing with your blog. Really everyone is doing it, so why be different?

But sift through the Indie film reserves even in Netflix without an agenda. Like producers posting their blog on their films, just another sham that readers are sick of. That isn’t working. Who will be the first to blog about the films no-one else is writing about? Who will break the cycle that makes the indie filmmakers and viewers get lost in the hype of big industry, big business film propaganda?

Will it be you? I’m a filmmaker and making films. That’s why it shouldn’t be me.
But what about you?

How to stop the trend where the Indie loses

So great news! You can now watch free movies on IMDB.com thanks to Amazon the now owner of the site.

That’s great but what about all the members of IMDB that have a low budget film registered on the site getting some action on the player? What is it with every major company that hes the means to get indie films into the hands of the masses dropping the ball on the indie filmmaker?

Red Carpet, The project from Netflix is no more. Stage Six shut down and now the site that is all about the filmmaker (or should be) with listings by the thousands of independent films is copycatting Hulu and the NBC format of free player with advertising which will again snub the indie filmmaker.

You know I will agree that some of the indie work I have seen is not really up to the industry standard of the major box office films that we are used to seeing. But what about “willing suspension of disbelief”? I guess that’s just a ‘theatre’ term, and “that sucked” is the term heard for even major budget box office films. People are too critical anyway, Yet are sick of the cookie cutter industry.

So now there has to be more explosions, more sex and more gore than would have ever been accepted before.

Take another look at the original “Night of the Living Dead” and compare it to the Horror films of today. The effects were minimal but effective. Why? Because the concept was new, it was fresh and never been done before, there were heated issues in the character structure where a black protagonist being the smartest in the group in a time when the nation was in conflict about racial issues. A series of daring revelations that are still being discussed in film theory today, and it was an independent film.

The time will come when people are willing to put up with a lower budget for effects if the script is good and the acting is good and they will look for their entertainment online. And why not? We get everything else online. I wrote a blog some time ago about the fact that Sundance Film Festival had over a thousand english feature films submitted and only four got picked up for distribution. I stated that I would pay three bucks on a payper view to watch the movies from Sundance, (like renting a movie at Blockbuster) which millions of viewers still do. what if there was a guarantee? and an option to review a film? what if…

It won’t happen if we stay in apathy.

Seth Godin is addressing Google employees at a special conference at Google. I think you’ll agree of it’s value. we all need to be tapped in to this guy. He really has a handle on the market and I think he can help you. So give it a listen. The executives at Google thought it was worthwhile.

the thing about great anylists is that usually not everyone can understand the message, and so the smart businessman will have an advantage. But is that you? what is he saying here? right that isn’t the case here he says it exactly right and you should listen. Even when he is being funny he teaches us a way to look at things that maybe we didn’t see clearly.

Filmmakers due dilligence (Why part1)

Before we can really get into the details of what to do as a filmmaker to tap into the income stream with your content, you should know more about the history of this trend and what to expect so here you’ll find the elements that will hopefully lead you to a conclusion.

Some Help For the Filmmaker.

This post comes to you from a dumbfounded filmmaker I have been looking for real help on the web for the filmmaker for months now and there are a lot of companies and individuals out there doing things in a less than organized way claiming to have the filmmakers interest in mind but to go here and blogger and .com and find filmmakers help available as usernames on all these sites tells me that real help for the filmmaker has never been the focus for any business or group large enough to think of filmmakers help as something to identify with.

So welcome for now, and if you have suggestions or comments that will help the filmmaker please join us in our quest to find answers for the filmmaker to actually monetize their films.

I will be brief now so that I can secure all the filmmakershelp id’s I can then I’ll report back here.
